The Journey's

The world makes more sense when you see it for yourself.

Travel, for me, has never been about collecting destinations.

I go because places have a way of challenging what we think we know. History feels different where it happened. People become harder to reduce to categories when you sit across from them. And the stories we inherit about a country, community, or conflict almost always become more complicated once we arrive.

Some journeys have taken me across America. Others have led me into places shaped by war, faith, politics, memory, and extraordinary change.

I try to arrive curious, listen carefully, and leave understanding a little more than I did before.

America, State By State

Fifty states. One endlessly Unfolding American story.

What began as a teenage curiosity became a family journey through all fifty states from every state capitol and major city to small towns, backroads, and places we might otherwise never have known.

We went to see America for ourselves: its landscapes and histories, its people and local traditions, and the remarkable variety contained within one country.

Along the way, we sought out Jewish life in every state, encountering thriving communities as well as remnants of worlds that had nearly disappeared.

The Journey Continues

There will always be another place to understand, another person to meet, another history to uncover, and another reason to reconsider what I thought I knew.

Around the World

Travel is my way of understanding.

Travel has taken me into communities shaped by war and peace, faith and politics, memory and loss, poverty and resilience.

Again and again, it has taught me that the world becomes more complicated and more human the closer you get to it.

I travel to listen, to understand, and to encounter places on their own terms. Every journey leaves me with a person, a question, or a story I carry forever.
